Inpatient Therapy Services

Each client is evaluated by a licensed therapist and an individualized plan of care is created based on each individual’s unique needs and goals for therapy.

Physical Therapy (PT)

May be needed to get patients up and moving to help decrease their risk of blood clots and pneumonia due to immobility related to illness or after surgery. PT can address use of assistive devices such as canes, walkers, crutches and wheelchairs and help patients improve their overall mobility and safety with such aids. PT can educate in exercise programs and post surgical precautions as well as work with nursing to help decrease pain/discomfort in the hospitalized patient.

Occupational Therapy (OT)

May be needed to help patients address any difficulties with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, etc) due to illness or surgery. They may also teach energy conservation techniques, or provide exercises and other post surgical education.

Speech Therapy (ST)

May be needed to address any actual speech/cognitive deficits or swallowing difficulties. Speech therapists may provide education, suggest diet changes to physicians, and provide exercises to patients to address their needs.

Outpatient Therapy Services

Each client is evaluated by a licensed therapist and an individualized plan of care is created based on each individual’s unique needs and goals for therapy.

Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Speech Language Pathologists provide treatment to a wide variety of clients who may be affected by recent orthopedic surgery, traumatic injury, stroke (CVA), traumatic brain injury, pain, disorders of the back and neck, muscle imbalances, frequent falls, impaired balance, congenital or neurological disorders and many more ailments. Assistive devices, adaptive equipment, manual therapy, exercise, home exercise programs, education, and modalities (including LASER and iontophoresis) are just a few of the tools available to our therapists to help improve client outcomes and progress.  For example, our speech language pathologist can provide electrical stimulation to muscles in the throat to help improve speech quality and/or improve swallowing, making a GREAT improvement in quality of life for some patients-even allowing for PEG tube removal in some cases.

Our therapists treat clients in a new, state of the art therapy gym. We take pride in providing a great environment with a one on one, ‘hands on’ treatment approach.
